Meet Brittany

I've always loved creating. Even as a kid I loved finger painting, making Barbie furniture and constructing ellaborate lego towns with my brother. It's continued into adulthood and I still get such a thrill from making artwork for our home and furnishing it with unique, handmade pieces.

Living a life of frugality has done me well. It has encouraged me to get creative. Not always having the financial freedom to run to fancy furniture stores or galleries for a coffee table or pricey artwork isn't a bad thing, nor is it something I desire. Ikea's got nothing on a vintage find I can transform into a personalized gem!

Back in the day my mom, Linda, was always decorating, re-decorating, and decorating some more. My folks didn't have a ton of money but always made the best of what they had. They turned their little bungalow into the coziest, most beautiful, personalized home for our family. My dad was constantly building and remodelling and turning my moms brilliant ideas into reality. They may have had a LOT to do with my creative passion and have encouraged it since day one.

After posting several successful Pinterest projects I did for our home on social media, I started to get a lot of positive feedback. The compliments soon turned into inquiries about having custom work done and from there I realized that I just might have a way of turning my passion into a way of earning a living.

“Always go with your passions. Never ask yourself if it’s realistic or not.”

Now I am lucky enough not only to be doing what I love, but to be able to call my mom my business partner. There is nobody I work better with and nobody's company I enjoy quite as much as hers. Spending our days in the garage, getting to be creative and sharing ideas has been the best experience I could ask for. We have both helped each other grow creatively and have gone through the ups and downs of starting a business side-by-side.

“Let your passion be the reason for your existence, and your successes the product of your persistence.”

I love to hear from you all. Your ideas, encouragement and excitement are what make me want to keep creating. We can't say enough about how grateful we are to our customers. You guys have made this so enjoyable and we have loved getting to know you.
